Móðir Þægindi shows two figures interlocked with one another. The mother has closed eyes as she comforts her daughter. To express that the daughter needs comforting, I painted the daughters arm and hand in a near impossible pose. Her arm is angular and fixed while the mother's hands are reaching towards her. The flowers are there to soften the composition and also bring an offering of hope to the situation between the two figures.

Röndóttur Lirfuhýði features a new portrait experiment that I incurred while painting. I had photographed myself as a test model while visualizing my new piece and decided that I would be able to transform my face into what I envisioned my model to look like. In this dripping stripped cocoon of fabrics, the figure has just awoken and may go back to slumber. The goal of this piece was to incorporate stripes without them being overbearing as well as contrasting against the figure. I used bright colors to make a more visual impact and compete with one another in order to express the first opening of the eyes in this portrait.

Rauður Valmúi is a painting of a sleeping woman covered with an abstracted sheet printed with red poppies. This portrait shows the head facing upward while her arms are shifting just before waking. The white swatches signify her clothing to correlate with her porcelain skin tones as the dripping yellows mixed with green add a sense of warmth to her environment.
